I never leave reviews for restaurants (and I eat at a lot of them) but this restaurant was too perfect not to. The owner was our server and he was just a gem. So much passion and love for his restaurant. The food was the best we had on the island and the best Italian food we’ve had out in a long time. My dad is half Italian so we eat Italian a lot. Together we ate the gnocchi bolognese, gnocchi with a sausage cream sauce, and truffle risotto. Each meal was absolutely delicious. The gnocchi was pillowy (which you don’t find often). I could not recommend this place enough!!! Plus the atmosphere was beyond enjoyable and the music was perfect.

We came to Mauro’s wonderful restaurant when my husband and I visited Aruba for the first time on our honeymoon. From the ambience, to the service and most importantly the food, we were over the moon. The bread at the beginning of the meal gave us the first impression that we were in for a wonderful meal. We ordered the pumpkin ravioli and the carbonara. It was divine and we fell for the restaurant’s wonderful charm so we returned the next night. Again, left speechless by the quality of the food and will be dreaming about it until we visit Aruba again. Do yourself a favor and get the pumpkin ravioli and the tiramisu to round out your meal. I envy anyone who has the chance to visit.

This is restaurant is a MUST visit in Aruba. The food is incredible. We ordered carbonara and pumpkin ravioli — unbelievable. The owner, Mauro, is kind, gracious, personable, and is Italian to his core. Located next to Fort Zoutman, the food, ambiance, staff, and Mauro are outstanding. My wife and I agree — this is not simply some excellent Italian restaurant, but one whose food, atmosphere, staff, and owner rival that of all other establishments. We visited for the first time and immediately returned the next evening for more. My wife and I will continue to crave the pumpkin ravioli, carbonara, and tiramisu, and when we return to Aruba, Mauro’s cooking, hospitality, and passion for providing an experience that simply transports you will be #1 on our list. I cannot recommend Italy in the World enough. Thank you, Mauro!

We have been visiting Aruba for 17 years and found this gem. The wine selection is outstanding. I had a Pino noir the server recommended, and it was phenomenal. This quaint restaurant is cozy, quiet, and delicious! The authentic Italian dishes are so well prepared and presented that you would think you're in Italy. I ordered a special dish, and my husband ordered seafood fra Diablo. Both dishes cooked perfectly and pasta on both dishes cooked al dente. Italy of the World is located in a beautiful home, and the atmosphere is quaint and comfortable. We were only offered outdoor seating, and I could not speculate if indoor seating exists. Our server was funny, friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We asked for suggestions, and our server did not steer us wrong. We also love the pitcher of homemade red sangria! We can't wait to revisit and try something new. If you venture to Aruba, do not pass up this wonderful restaurant.
