Zingaro Zingarello Sayulita

Great pastas (white sauce especially) and main dishes, loved the rabbit. Atmosphere and owner had friendly and welcoming hospitality. The culinary experience wasn’t quite up to the price but they are really close to putting together excellence.

Genuinely one of the best Italian dinners I've ever had outside of Italy.nnDonilo is a fantastic host and owner, serves the most delicious food, makes his own fresh pasta and recommends great wine. Incredible service and food.nnFor those who chose to read the more negative reviews on here, allow me to put your mind at ease.nnFood: the menu has diversified since some reviews were posted, criticising the lack of non pasta options. At the time of writing, there were Pasta and ‘Secondi’ dishes to satisfy anyone who may wish for something different. That said, I chose to have pasta, as it is clearly something this restaurant is particularly passionate about. Both pasta courses I had were delicious and comparable to some of the best pasta I’ve had in Italy (particularly the one they made in the Parmesan cheese itself).nnPortion size: I found the portion size to be a very smart choice - sure if you’re very hungry, you may need to have two dishes, but this is exactly how Italian food should be. I now value eating a meal and not being so full that I can’t have desert, or make the walk home. This will be a personal preference, but I thought the team nailed it.nnPrice: I found the price to be similar to most higher end restaurants in town. I also don’t mind paying a little extra for good food that I can’t make myself.nnToilets: I wouldn’t normally comment on this topic, but as someone previously posted about it, I felt it was important to state that Zíngaro Zingarello must have moved locations since previous comments. There are now toilets within the restaurant that were clean and very presentable. I’m not sure what else you can say about toilets!nnService: leaving the most impressive until last - I was greeted at the door by the owner and welcomed in. That greeting set the tone for the service and it was very apparent from his and his waiter’s interactions that they very much cared about customer experience. This was particularly evident when a technical issue in the kitchen led to a delay in my second course. The owner came over to personally apologise and gave me the second course for free. This was a kind and above and beyond gesture.nnOverall I thought this was a very impressive restaurant, with excellent and authentic tasting food, as well as phenomenal service. A high recommendation for food in Sayulita.

This is gotta be some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had in my life. If you don’t come here while you’re visiting Sayulita, you’ll be haunted by Freddy Kruger and your dreams. So beware.

My husband and I got married in Sayulita last month and this was the first place we went once we arrived in town. After a long day of travel, we were starving and this is exactly what we needed. We had the nightly special of pasta prepared table side in the cheese wheel. What an experience! The pasta was so fresh and each dish was exquisite. Everything was so delicious that we each had two meals! The staff were so kind with exceptional hospitality.nnWe told our wedding guests how delicious Zingaro Zingarello was and a large group of us came for dinner the night after our wedding. The staff was so kind to accommodate our large party. Our dinner(s) at Zingaro were a highlight of our trip! Thank you for you kindness and hospitality! We are already planning a trip to return next year and this will be our first stop.
